Comment Policy
COMMENT POLICY

Note regarding posting comments to Thinking Fluidly: Comments once posted become the property of Thinking Fluidly. We therefore reserve the right to make use of such in any manner and for whatever purpose we deem appropriate.
Q. Is registration required to post comments?
A. You are required to register to post comments. Registered commenters can post comments instantly, though the commenting policy still applies, and violations thereof will be dealt with as described below. To register as a commenter, please visit OpenID.
Q. Are comments ever deleted or edited?
A. Comments deemed inappropriate by Thinking Fluidly will be deleted or edited. Comments considered for deletion or editing include (but are not limited too):
- Anonymous comments, and/or comments posted without a valid e-mail address.
- A series of comments that appear to be the work of a single individual, posted under multiple aliases. (This includes, but is not limited too, a series of comments posted from the same IP address within short periods of time.)
- Demeaning comments directed towards a member of Thinking Fluidly or another commenter.
- Deliberately off-topic or nonsensical comments.
- Multiple postings of the same comment in multiple comment threads.
- Comments with gratuitous profanity or other objectionable material/words, or links thereto.
- Comments made questioning the comment policy or the enforcement thereof.
- Comments reported to a member of Thinking Fluidly as being inappropriate, objectionable, offensive, or as otherwise previously noted.
- Comments which may be considered libel or slander.
- “Cut-and-paste” comments will be edited. If you wish to refer people to an article on another site you may link to it, but not post in full.
- Any and all other comments deemed inappropriate by Thinking Fluidly.
Comment policy is nonnegotiable. Delete/edit decisions are final.
Q. Can people be banned from commenting?
A. Yes. If the previously noted comment policy is violated.
Q. Is there a character limit for comments?
A. We currently do not have a character limit, but we advise that comments be kept within a 1000 character limit.
Q. How long can a post be commented on?
A. After a post has been open to comments for 30 days, commenting will be closed. Trackback pings will be closed concurrently. Commenting may also be closed at the discretion of the Editors if deemed necessary.
