Chevron Corporation Fights Back Hard – Excellent Video

And rightfully so after the recent hit piece against Chevron by CBS News and 60 Minutes.

It beggars belief that, after meeting all its contractual obligations as minority partner to Petro Ecuador and being certified and released of any further obligations by the Government of Ecuador, Chevron Corporation can be hauled into the dock in an Ecuadorean Court.

In some backwater court of a third world nation in front of a picayune mail-order jurist one of the oldest and proudest American corporations must genuflect.

And for what?

For the greed and glory of some ambulance chasing trial lawyer and self-appointed defender of the downtrodden.

Please, save us from the tender mercies of these charlatans.

If the “government” of Ecuador and Petro Ecuador after collecting approximately 25 billion dollars over the life of this concession are not able to hold up their end of the contractual bargain then so be it.

It does not follow that Chevron Corporation is responsible for the inability of Ecuador and Petro Ecuador to honor their own obligations.

Case Dismissed!
